I love the Puritans but was unfamiliar with Thomas Case until I ran across an excerpt of his writing in a daily devotional. Curiosity then led me to A Treatise on Afflictions. I was blown away! Perhaps the best reflection and meditation on suffering I've ever read. It's deep and reflective and yet completely devotional. It challenges the intellect and comforts the heart. For someone who's going through a season of difficulty I highly recommend that they slow down and meditate on Case's experiences. You won't be disappointed!!!
